The emirate of Dubai shares borders with Abu Dhabi in the south, Sharjah in the northeast, and the Sultanate of Oman in the southeast. Dubai lies directly within the Arabian Desert. However, the topography of Dubai is significantly different from that of the southern portion of the UAE in that much of Dubai's landscape is highlighted by sandy desert patterns, while gravel deserts dominate much of the southern region of the country. The sand consists mostly of crushed shell and coral and is fine, clean and white. East of the city, the salt-crusted coastal plans, known as sabkha, give way to a north-south running line of dunes. Farther east, the dunes grow larger and are tinged red with iron oxide.

Dubai has a hot and, at times, humid climate (drier during extreme heat) with many months recording temperatures of over 40 °C (104 °F). Rainfall is generally light, with a mean of about 150 millimeters (6 in) per year; precipitation is usually centered around January, February and March. However, heavy rain is not uncommon in Dubai during the winter months and January 2008 saw a record of 120mm (or 5") of rain falling in just 24 hours. The mean humidity in Dubai is about 60% and is higher during the cooler winter months.

Scandinavia Tour

Scandinavia: Scandinavia is a historical and geographical region centered on the Scandinavian peninsula of Northern Europe. Mainly, Scandinavia is defined as the three kingdoms that historically shared the Scandinavian Peninsula. They are represented by the countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden. In modern times, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands (Faeroe) are also considered a part of this geographical area, especially in terms of cultural and historic relationships. The terms Nordic countries and Nordic region are used officially to identify these nations.

Denmark (Capital: Copenhagen / Language: Danish): The southern-most Scandinavian country, Denmark consists of the Jutland peninsula and over 400 islands, some of which are linked to the mainland by bridge. Almost all of Denmark is low and flat, but there are many low hills as well.

Norway (Capital: Oslo / Language: Norway): Also called "The Land of Vikings, and the Midnight Sun," Norway is the northernmost country in Europe. Norway has a jagged expanse of islands and fjords.

Sweden (Capital: Stockholm / Language: Swedish): Sweden offers numerous lakes and is the largest of the Scandinavian countries - both in land size and population. Volvo and Saab both originated here and are a big part of the Swedish industry. Swedish citizens are independently minded and highly regard their people-oriented social programs, especially in women's rights.

Iceland (Capital: Reykjavik / Language: Icelandic): With a surprisingly mild climate, Iceland is Europe's westernmost country, the second largest island in the North-Atlantic ocean. Iceland has a strong economy, low unemployment and low inflation, and its per capita income is among the highest in the world.Finland (Capital: Helsinki / Language: Finnish): Finland is another country where the weather is better than many tourists expect. Finland also has one of the lowest immigration rates in the world.

Switzerland Tours

Switzerland is a landlocked alpine country in Western Europe with an area of 41,285 km² bordered by Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Liechtenstein.
